I've had an amazing opportunity to participate in a Somatic Educator's program in the bay area. Through this program, I have like many past times, gained skills and tools. Yesterday, I put into effect the tools of teacher... It has been a long time since I've been- chosen this role. And to do it among peers, in a somewhat unexpected space, as an offering of my knowledge and skill- wonderful!

I shared bodywork knowledge and technique in an impromptu tutoring session. It was great. And I got to get into the real nitty gritty of body ergonomics and mechanics of the practitioner in a real and applicable way. It was beautiful. I have been in Somatics and bodywork land, strictly, for the last several weeks of this intensive... And it is wonderful!

And now, to bridge my worlds and incorporate my Moishe House life and role into my body arts centered world...

This friday we are going to have a contact shabbat- an opportunity to explore shabbat through contact... it'll start out at a park, and be a group of invited folks, and we'll see where the contact improvisation and praying and connecting in this way takes us!
